On tour in the Jewish quarter today and saw many new ‘stumble stones’ (plaques dedicated to Holocaust victims, usually at their former residences) with floral tributes. Although the stones almost always describe deportation and murder, do note ‘Oskar Adler, born 1902, survived with assistance.’
